COLLEGE GRADUATIONS: Caps ‘n Gowns – and – Hard Hats and Safety Vests

As we prepare for another season of commencement activities, keep an eye out for a new group of graduates. An estimated 33,000+ traditional degree- diploma- and certificate-earning graduates will walk across the stages of our colleges. Among them may be more than 1,400 students who completed short-term training programs since Virginia’s Workforce Credentials Grant initiate began July 1. Several of our colleges will be hosting those students along with their traditional graduates. The majority of these credential-earners quickly move into the workplace to begin new careers. Yet plenty of them understand the stackable nature of the credentials they’ve earned and others we offer, and that they’re just beginning. We hope to serve them again. Meanwhile, we send hearty congratulations to all of our community college graduates!
